Meet the team
Travel Duo was founded by Hans and Chantal de Kruif — tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs with more than 35 years of combined international experience across cruise tourism, inbound tour operations, fleet ownership, hotel management and destination development.
Our background is not advisory. It is operational.
In Curaçao and Bonaire, we built and operated a large-scale inbound tour and transportation company from the ground up, serving all major international cruise lines and more than 60 international tour operator partners. Annually, we handled over 100,000 cruise passengers and more than 50,000 stay-over guests.
We owned and operated a fleet of 20+ large coaches and employed approximately 100 team members during peak season — including drivers, guides, dispatchers, maintenance staff and office personnel.
Beyond the Caribbean, our experience extends to hospitality and tourism operations in Italy, The Netherlands, The Caribbean, South Africa and North America — environments that required adaptability, cultural awareness and hands-on leadership.
That experience shaped our approach: pragmatic, involved and long-term focused.
Today, Travel Duo is dedicated to acquiring and growing an established tourism, transportation or hospitality business.
We understand what it takes to build something from nothing. We also understand the responsibility of taking over something that has been built over decades.
Our approach prioritizes operational stability, team continuity and thoughtful growth.
Alongside our acquisition focus, we are developing Panoramica — a long-term European-inspired wellness destination concept on the Pacific Coast.

Hans de Kruif
Hans is a strategic and commercially driven hospitality entrepreneur with extensive experience in general management, international contracting and business development.
He led overall operations as General Manager of large-scale tourism and transportation businesses in the Caribbean, overseeing hotel contracting, cruise line negotiations and long-term partnerships with more than 60 international tour operators and airlines. Relationship building and maintaining trust with global partners has always been central to his approach.
Hans is particularly strong in identifying opportunities, developing ambitious business plans and translating ideas into viable operations. He played a key role in creating and launching new tours and activities, combining creativity with operational feasibility.
Today, he focuses on strategic direction, partnership development and long-term growth — ensuring businesses remain competitive, relevant and financially sound under stable ownership.
Chantal de Kruif
Chantal is the operational backbone behind every venture — ensuring that strategy translates into flawless execution.
She has extensive experience in operational management, bus planning and real-time dispatch coordination in high-volume environments. Her strength lies in making complex operations run smoothly and consistently deliver what was promised — to partners, guests and stakeholders.
Given the scale of the company, human resource management was a critical responsibility. Chantal led recruitment and hiring for a large seasonal workforce over many years, building and managing teams of up to 100 employees during peak periods. She oversaw HR processes, compliance, procurement and financial management, ensuring disciplined cost control and operational reliability.
From fleet scheduling and staff coordination to supplier management and financial oversight, she ensured that the business performed sustainably and efficiently.
Her structured leadership and attention to detail are key to maintaining operational stability — particularly during periods of transition and growth.
